Information we collect

• Account data such as your name, email address, authentication identifiers, and plan details.
• Profile data such as headline, bio, skills, locations, salary expectations, GitHub links, LinkedIn links, and resume URLs.
• Job workflow data such as saved jobs, recommendation feedback, auto-apply settings, automation tasks, and application tracking activity.
• Chat data such as prompts, uploaded files, assistant responses, and message reports when you flag a reply.
• Billing and subscription data handled through payment providers such as plan, status, invoice references, and customer identifiers.
• Usage and device signals such as browser context, timestamps, IP-derived region, and product analytics needed for reliability and abuse prevention.

Extension and job-page data

If you install and use the MeetDev browser extension while signed in, the extension may detect supported job pages you visit and send job posting metadata to MeetDev so we can ingest, deduplicate, recommend, and track those jobs for you.

This may include job title, company, location, description snippets, source URL, and related page metadata. We use this to improve job discovery and product workflows, not to sell browsing history.

How we use information

• To create and manage your account and keep you signed in.
• To personalize job recommendations, AI replies, skills suggestions, and public profile output.
• To power features such as GitHub sync, resume assistance, cover letter generation, interview preparation, auto-apply, and analytics.
• To process subscriptions, manage credits, detect fraud, and provide support.
• To improve search quality, reliability, safety, prompt routing, and product performance.

When we share information

We share data with service providers only when needed to operate MeetDev. This can include infrastructure providers, authentication providers, analytics tools, AI model providers, and payment processors.

We may also disclose information when required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect the security of MeetDev, our users, or the public.

AI and third-party content

MeetDev uses AI providers to generate responses and content improvements. We send only the context needed for the task you asked us to perform.

Job data may originate from third-party company pages, public job boards, or user-submitted sources. Those sources control their own pages and privacy practices.

Retention and deletion

• We retain account, billing, and security records as long as needed to operate the service and comply with legal obligations.
• Profile data, chat history, and job activity may remain available until you delete them, close your account, or request deletion where applicable.
• Some records may be retained in backups, logs, and fraud-prevention systems for a limited period after deletion requests.

Your choices

• You can update profile fields, public profile settings, linked accounts, and auto-apply preferences from your dashboard.
• You can delete chat conversations and disconnect profile links in the product.
• You can cancel subscriptions through billing settings or the billing portal when available.
• You can control cookies and similar storage through browser settings, subject to essential functionality limits.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data, but no system is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials and connected services secure.
